While I don't ever expect for the kiddies to get us anything for Christmas, I thought it was so sweet to open a little package from my 11 year old daughter. In it were little "chore coupons", with her offering to do little things around the house! I thought it was so cute and most importantly, I didn't have to tell her to do it! The fact that she took time out to think about what we do around the house and what it takes to maintain the house, and then thought to try and help contribute above and beyond what her normal chores are... was priceless!
I guess my whole point is that while 2011 was rocky at best, it ended with a bang. Upon reflection, I think we finally realized to appreciate the little things in life and worry less on the bigger picture, which we often cannot control. Cherish the small, and often priceless things in life rather than get caught up in the larger stresses of life. With that being said, here's to a blessed and successful 2012! I hope to take with me the valuable life lessons learned in 2011 to make 2012 even better J
