Aeropress Giveaway

With all of the holiday shopping going on, one can get exhausted and tire quickly L That's where the Aeropress comes in handy!  What a great and neat way to get a quick cup of some of the purest yet concentrated coffee… just what you'll need to stay awake and get that holiday shopping done! Forget paying for a cup of coffee, Aeropress is WINNING!

SMOOTHEST - Using the ideal water temperature and gentle air pressure brewing yields rich flavor with lower acidity and without bitterness.

RICHEST - Total immersion brewing results in uniform extraction of the ultimate in full coffee flavor. Other coffee makers drip hot water on bed of grounds, over extracting at the center and under extracting at the edge.

PUREST - Micro filtered for grit free coffee – unlike other press-type coffee makers.

FASTEST - One minute from start to enjoy. The actual press time takes only 20 seconds.

The directions are simple:

1. Remove the plunger and the cap from the chamber.

2. Put a filter in the cap and twist it onto the chamber.

3. Stand the chamber on a sturdy mug.

4. Put two AeroPress scoops of fine-drip grind coffee into the chamber.

5. Pour hot water slowly into the chamber up to the number 2. Use 175oF (80oC) water for the very best taste.

6. Mix the water and coffee with the stirrer for about 10 seconds.

7. Wet the rubber seal and insert the plunger into the chamber. Gently press down about a quarter of an inch and maintain that pressure for about 20 to 30 seconds until the plunger bottoms on the coffee. Gentle pressure is the key to easy AeroPressing.

8. You've just made a double espresso. For American coffee, top-off the mug with hot water. For a latte, top-off the mug with hot milk.

I must admit, at first all of the pieces seemed quite overwhelming... and the fact that I'm not too coordinated didn't help.  However once the hubby figured it out and showed me, it was ALL GOOD!  I've never had coffee made this way before and didn't really know what to expect.  I actually tried the expresso shots as well as the coffee.  Both taste very good! I'll probably keep the expresso shots for closer to Christmas, lol but the coffee was right up my alley. I can now understand why they say it makes "rich and pure" coffee as I had more of a "coffee high" or longer caffeine run when I had coffee made from the Aeropress!  It's also much cheaper than spending money on coffee at your local cafes.  Just purchase the ground coffee as you would for home brewing with a coffee maker, and give it a shot!


Plus as an added bonus, while it does have paper filters for you to use, you can REUSE them!  How cool is that??
